SHARK-VIS

Io, moon of Jupiter

A camera known as SHARK-VIS attached to the Large Binocular Telescope took this photo from Earth. Digitalcamercaworld.com says that this accomplishment is on par with taking a photo of a dime from 100 miles away. Io always fascinated me when I was a child because I was amazed that there was a name solely vowels. (I somehow missed the victim of Zeus’ wrath in Greek mythology.) This is definitely one of my favorite moons in our star’s system.
